A Quick Tour of Base Camp

Join us in our vision to build a base camp. Imagine...

The Onelife base camp is set up to provide all the equipment and facilities needed to train for and run long term expeditions safely. This includes areas to practice wilderness camping and travel, backcountry cooking, and tree climbing technique.

Our aquatics training area will allow for surf training, kayak and rescue training, and wilderness lifeguard training, as well as other expedition skills. There is a camp kitchen to prepare meals for short programs and to prepare food drops for longer expeditions. There are meeting facilities for focused staff and participant training. There is a physical training area and open fields for teambuilding, large group camping, and community outreach. We are connected to a wilderness corridor that expands our ability to offer the highest quality expedition training possible.

The barn is our gear shed. It is a place to store, maintain, and train with expedition equipment. You will become familiar with this area while gearing up for the journey and again upon your return. You will learn to clean and maintain the equipment you are using as part of our overall training philosophy. This will extend the reliable service of your own gear. We also check critical safety factors during this time. If you want to help us realize this vision, please contact us or go to volunteer tab under get involved and let us know you want to help!
