Entry Categories - All entries must meet the requirements of one or more of the following categories.

• Local Heroes - Send us a photo that captures the essence of a local hero. You have up to 125 words in the caption box to help make your case. The hero must live in the Cape Fear Region or have preformed a heroic deed in this area that is documented. Remember that the widow who gave 2 mites was a hero of the highest order.

• Wilderness sports and stunts - Send us a photo that captures the essence and emotion of a wilderness sport or stunt (being executed in a safe manner). Photos must be taken in the Cape Fear Region. Don't forget you have up to 125 words to embellish your story in the caption.

• Creation - Capture the beauty of the plants, animals or scenery of this incredible spot on earth. Subject matter must be correctly identified in your up to 125 word caption. All photos must be taken within the Cape Fear Region.

• God Moments - Send us your photos that capture God at work. Using up to 125 words for your caption will be an important part of this category. Photos must be taken in the Cape Fear Region.

Captions - An important part of this contest is the ability to enhance the viewing of your photograph with a powerful caption of up to 125 words. Do not waste this opportunity.

Number of submissions - You may submit up to 3 photos each month. You are welcome to resubmit the same photo(s) in future months as well.

Deadline - All submissions must be received by the 25th day of the month to be eligible for the following month's contest.

Judging - Photographs will be judged for composition, subject matter, light, emotional appeal, creativity, content and power of caption, and overall excellence. Judges shall be onelife staff or staff approved volunteers. No one shall judge his/her own work. All judging shall be impartial.
